Welcome to The Good Manners Social Club!
Where kindness, respect, and confidence begin.
The Good Manners Social Club brings together families who believe that manners matter. Just like any other skill, good manners must be taught, modeled, and practiced daily. Our goal is to guide children to confidently navigate social skills and etiquette whether its everyday living or special occasions. The founders’ mission centers on the belief of what is foundational to a child’s success and a family's harmony: manners. Not as outdated rules, but as a living, evolving family code. We encourage families to ask: What do we value? How do we want to engage with our community and the world around us?
By holding ourselves—and our families—accountable to a shared code of manners, we empower children to grow into confident, kind, and capable adults.
Why Join?
Learning good manners at a young age lays the foundation for positive relationships and lasting confidence. Our program not only teaches table etiquette, but also builds social skills that make interactions with family and friends more pleasant and meaningful.
What We Teach:
Classes are thoughtfully tailored by age group and based on traditional values and modern American social etiquette. Topics include:
Body Language: Eye contact, posture, and mannerisms
Greetings & Introductions: Confident and polite exchanges
Table Manners: Navigating meals with ease and courtesy
Positive Conversation: Speaking with kindness and listening with respect
Each lesson is layered with essential messages about being kind, respectful, and responsible in the way we interact with others.
Preschool – 2nd Grade: Little Learners with Big Manners
Our youngest members will begin their manners journey by learning the building blocks of respectful and kind behavior. In these playful, age-appropriate sessions, children will:
Practice eye contact and confident smiles
Learn how to say warm greetings and goodbyes
Use magical words like please, thank you, excuse me, and you're welcome
Explore manners in public places (e.g., waiting their turn, using indoor voices)
Gain basic table manners in a fun, hands-on way
Throughout each session, children will also develop a general understanding of why manners matter—laying the foundation for future social success and respectful relationships.
3rd – 5th Grade: Confident & Considerate Communicators
Elementary-aged students are ready to take their social skills to the next level. In these dynamic and engaging sessions, children will build on foundational manners while gaining a deeper understanding of why being polite, respectful, and considerate matters in everyday life.
Participants will learn and practice:
Polite greetings and goodbyes with confidence and eye contact
Table manners for both casual and formal settings
Good sportsmanship and respectful behavior during play and competition
Technology etiquette, including screen time manners and digital communication
And so much more, including conversations skills, listening, and showing gratitude
This age group will grow in self-awareness and social responsibility, gaining tools that help them feel more confident and capable in school, at home, and in the community.
At the Good Manners Social Club, our middle school program is designed to help pre-teens grow into confident, respectful, and socially aware young adults. Through fun and interactive lessons, students learn:
How to give a confident handshake
Conversation starters and listening skills
Writing thoughtful thank-you notes
Smart and respectful social media habits
Table manners for everyday and special occasions
Good sportsmanship and teamwork
And much more!
Each session blends modern etiquette with real-world scenarios, giving students the tools they need to feel comfortable and capable in any social setting—at school, at home, and beyond.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said in his essay “Behavior” from The Conduct of Life (1860), “Manners are the happy ways of doing things; each once a stroke of genius or of love, now repeated and hardened into usage.”
